The Optimist deck collar features an oval and tapered inner diameter, designed to maximize fore/aft play while minimizing side play. This allows for better mast raking. The collar includes 4 countersunk mounting holes, with a hole size of 57 mm in the deck. The SL1210 collar also comes with a separate sleeve that fits around the mast at deck level, protecting the mast from wear and tear. Ideal for maintaining smooth mast performance.
