The Ladies Red Diamond is designed according to ILCA specifications, measuring 240mm x 180mm. ILCA recommends that Women's championships be held in the Laser Radial.
The red diamond is used for identification purposes when sailing in mixed fleets, as it helps distinguish female competitors.
The use of the red diamond may be required by the Sailing Instructions of an event.
